Paratha with Minced Meat
This satisfying recipe will surely become everyone’s favourite!
Preparation time: 40 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour 10 minutes Yield: 8 servings
Ingredients
2 cups mutton, minced
1 onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon garlic paste
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
3 tablespoons of olive oil
2 tablespoons of tomato paste
1 bunch of coriander, chopped
2 green chilies, chopped
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
For Dough:
2 cups of wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
4 tablespoons of butter
Method
1. Sift flour and ½ teaspoon of salt, knead a soft dough with water.
2. Cover dough and place aside for 10 minutes.
3. Heat oil in a saucepan add onion and cook for 5 minutes.
4. Add tomato paste, garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.
5. Add the mutton and stir-fry for 10 minutes or until cooked through.
6. Sprinkle cumin powder, cinnamon powder, chopped green chilies, and coriander. Mix until combined well. Turn off heat.
7. Divide dough in 8 equal parts and roll into even balls.
8.On a clean surface flatten each ball with rolling pin and shape in the form of round bread.
9. Take 1 bread and spread about 3 tablespoons of stuffing, top with another bread and roll out with rolling pin. Press to seal the edges.
10. In a frying pan place 1 tablespoon of butter and put paratha in pan.
11. Flip after 1 minute, place butter on top and flip again.
12. Cook both sides until lightly golden.
13. Serve hot.
